Our Outreach
Community Engagement Prayer Walks
Our Community Engagement Prayer Walk ministry was the first “boots on the ground” initiative launched in response to the gun violence impacting West Laurel. Each week, our team walks the very streets where violence has occurred, offering prayer, encouragement, and hope to residents. We not only lift our community in prayer but also listen, connect, and assist in meeting practical needs whenever possible. OWL stands as a visible reminder that West Laurel is not alone, and that peace, healing, and unity are worth fighting for.
Camp for Christ
Camp for Christ is a free, week-long basketball skills clinic that combines sports, faith, and community. Youth in West Laurel learn basketball drills and techniques while also exploring the Word of God and how it applies to their lives. Each August, the community comes together for food, fun, and fellowship, making Camp for Christ not just an event, but a true community effort to uplift, inspire, and unite our young people.
Community Peace Gardens
Our Community Peace Gardens are designed to nourish both body and spirit. These shared spaces will provide fresh produce for the community while offering a peaceful environment for reflection, healing, and connection. Tended with care by local youth and residents, the gardens will stand as a living symbol of hope, resilience, and the power of working together for a healthier, safer West Laurel.
